Solar and wind power made a record fifth of EU’s electricity in 2022, overtaking gas for the first time, according to a report by energy think tank Emberhttps. The report says that solar capacity increased by 24%, which was double its previous record, and that 20 EU countries achieved new solar records in 2022.
